Controversial United States-funded Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Concludes Aid Operations
The debated, American and Israeli-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) says it is terminating its relief activities in the affected area, after almost six months.
The organisation had earlier paused its three food distribution sites in Gaza following the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel took effect in recent weeks.
The organization attempted to avoid UN systems as the primary provider of humanitarian assistance to Gazans.
United Nations organizations and other humanitarian groups would not collaborate with its methodology, saying it was unethical and unsafe.
Numerous Gazans were killed while seeking food amid disorderly situations near the foundation's locations, mainly through Israeli military action, based on UN documentation.

Foundation History
The organization commenced activities in Gaza on 26 May, a seven days following the Israeli government had moderately reduced a total blockade on relief and commercial goods to Gaza that continued for 77 days and caused severe shortages of vital resources.

Another 514 people were killed near the paths taken by United Nations and additional relief shipments, it further stated.
Most of them were fatally wounded by the Israel's armed forces, based on the agency's reports.
Conflicting Accounts
The Israeli military claimed its forces had discharged cautionary rounds at persons who advanced toward them in a "threatening" fashion.
The GHF said there were no firearm incidents at the aid sites and claimed the international organization of using "inaccurate and deceptive" statistics from the Palestinian health authority administered by Hamas.
Future Implications
The foundation's prospects had been uncertain since Hamas and Israel agreed a ceasefire deal to execute the first phase of the American administration's peace initiative.
The arrangement specified relief provision would take place "free from intervention from the involved factions through the UN organizations and their partners, and the humanitarian medical organization, in combination with other global organizations not associated in any manner" with Palestinian factions and Israeli authorities.
International organization official Stephane Dujarric said on Monday that the GHF's shutdown would have "zero effect" on its operations "since we never collaborated with them".
The official further mentioned that while more aid was getting into Gaza since the truce was implemented on October 10th, it was "insufficient to address all necessities" of the 2.1 million population.
